Understanding verified competence
Competence is more than completing a course. In this pathway it means you have learned the material, practised it, passed a scored exam, and demonstrated the skill in front of a qualified assessor.
Each stage produces a separate record. Practice attempts help you learn and are never counted towards your result. Exam attempts are scored and stored. Practical sign-off can only be given by an assessor.
Organisations use these records to see who is ready, who needs support, and when renewal is due.
